Cheap and Easy Paleo Breakfast Sausage

Ever since finding out that  I had a food sensitivity to eggs, I get asked frequently “what do you eat for breakfast”? Short answer is the same thing I eat all the rest of the time: meat, fish, nuts, seeds, fruits and vegetables.

Long answer is, I usually prepare a weeks worth of home made sausages and eat a wide assortment of vegetables along side it that change from day to day.

Why cant you just buy your own already made sausage at the store? Well you can, but many store bought sausages are loaded with a bunch of garbage and if you do find one that is not it is often more expensive. Making it your own gets you a weeks worth of sausage for right around 6 dollars.


  • 2 pounds of organic turkey, pork or grass-fed hamburger ( I usually use turkey). DSC_0006
  • 2 TBSP of honey
  • 1 TBSP dried parsley
  • 2 Tsp garlic
  • 2 Tsp granulated onion
  • 2 Tsp fennel seeds
  • 1 Tsp sage
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • I usually add a little coconut amino’s


  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Add spices honey and coconut amino’s.
  3. Patty out the meat to desired size in a glass or metal pan with sides. I usually make 6 patties with 2 lbs.
  4. Cook for 40 minutes.
